Things to Do on A Rainy Day in Kennebunkport.....

· Visit Maine’s first and only Imax Theatre! Just a short drive from Kennebunkport, this theatre boasts state of the art picture and sound. The theatre seats 300 and tickets are $15.
· Take in a show at the Arundel Barn Playhouse. This renovated theatre was once a private residence. Now showing Godspell through July 11th. Tickets start at just $28. Matinees are Wednesdays & Fridays @ 2:00.
· Take in some culture at the Portland Museum of Art. They have art on display from the 18th century to the present in the forms of paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, furniture and much more. On exhibit now, Call of the Coast: Art Colonies of New England through October 12. Tickets are $10. Open 10-5.
· Pamper yourself with a spa treatment at Cottage Breeze Day Spa..What is better on a cold wet day than a Hot Stone Massage?
· Visit the Seashore Trolley Museum for a taste of history. Ride the rails. Take in the sights. Visit the restoration shop and watch as they bring old trolleys back to life. Open daily. $8.
· Take the kids bowling or indulge the kid in you! Vacationland Bowling in Saco has 32 lanes of fun! Prices start at just $6 for one game of bowling and a slice of pizza.
· Go rock climbing...Indoors at the Maine Rock Gym. Day pass is $14 for unlimited access to the gym for the day. They have kid camps, training sessions and yoga!
· Race the rain away at Maine Indoor Karting in Scarborough. You must be at least 16 years old with a driver’s license to participate. Prices start at $22. Definitely a good way to forget about the rain.
· Tour the Victorian Mansion in Portland. Take in the history of a pre-civil war mansion with its well preserved original interiors. The tour is 45 minutes and costs $15. The admission fee goes to restoring the mansion.
· Take in a show at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Now showing Shout! A mod musical through July 11th. Tickets start at $43. Cinderella Shows for kids by kids July 4th @ 10:00 & 12:00 and July 5th at 10:00 and Fairy Houses, The Musical July 18-19th for $10.00!
· See Kennebunkport by Trolley on the Intown Trolley. Adults $15, Children (3-17) $5 and kids 2 & under are free! Special couple rate 2 for $25.
· Check out Lighthouse Depot on Rt 1 in Wells. They sell everything to do with Lighthouses and even have directions to lighthouses from their doorstep.
· The Historical Society recommends a guided tour through the Nott House located at 8 Maine Street. “This gem of Greek revival architecture takes one back to when shipbuilding thrived and the shipping trade made Kennebunkport one of the wealthiest towns in New England”. Guided Tour hours: Thurs: 10-4 & 7-9, Friday: 1-4 and Sat. 10-1. Children under 18 free, adults $7.00.
· Brick Store Museum @ 117 Main St., Kennebunk which “preserves the rich heritage of the Kennebunks.” Current exhibition on Quilts and Happy Birthday “41”. Open Tuesday – Friday 10-4:30 and Sat. 10-1. $5 donation.
· Visit the Auto Museum on Route 1.in Wells. Open daily Memorial Day to Columbus Day from 10-5. For a $5.00 admission you can see 80 classic cars, motorcycles, vintage bicycles, and a great collection of nickelodeon machines and player pianos that really work!
· See a movie and eat at the same time at Smitty’s Cinema in Biddeford. $5.50 admission for everyone all day on Monday, for seniors 55+ and children 12 & under. $8.00 after 5:00.
· Visit Fun-O-Rama at York Beach for vintage Skee Ball, classic pinball or contemporary LCD TV computer games. Open daily Memorial Day to Labor Day 9:00-11:00.
